This phone application is a preview of our head mounted surgical navigation system, ARVIS. ARVIS takes this capability one step further by presenting data to the surgeon in an augmented reality display.
SETUP: Using the app requires printed trackable targets which can be downloaded from www.insightmedsys.com/phone-app. Press the WEB button to the left to visit this website.
USE: Press the HIP or SPINE procedure button and then aim your phone’s camera at the printed targets to see virtual models of anatomy and instruments in augmented reality.
TIPS: On some phones autofocus may not work correctly resulting in the targets not being tracked. If this happens exit the app then restart with the camera unobstructed and at arms-length from the targets. If the front-facing camera view shows when running the app then close the Insight app, open your phone’s camera app and select the rear facing camera. Then restart the Insight app.
